Honda unveiled the Crider Concept at Shanghai auto show, the production of wich, will start either in May or June. The model will be positioned between the Civic and the Accord. The construction will be done entirely in China by the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture which already manufactures the Accord, the car might be exported to other Asian markets, but nothing is certain at the moment.
The car’s name derives from the words Criteria and Dreams. It will be placed opposite the Citroen C4L and Volkswagen Sagitar. It has a length of 4.650 mm, width of 1.750 mm and a height of 1.505 mm. Under the hood there is a 1.8 liter engine, matched with either a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic. Rumors say it might also be available with a 2.0 liter engine, but nothing has been announced officially.
