Lotus presented at Geneva the “fastest and most powerful production Lotus”, the Lotus Evora 400, which features a new front bumper, with larger air intakes and LED daytime running lights, new rear bumper and a new spoiler of “three elements”.
The interior features a new center console, dashboard and new seats. Lotus says that the interior features better quality materials and one of the highlights is the steering wheel, which is made of magnesium.
What is more important though, is the engine, the Evora 400 is equipped with a supercharged 3.5 liter V6 engine that delivers 400 hp and 410 Nm of torque. The engine is available with either an improved 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic. The 100 km/h from standstill is achieved in 4.2 seconds, with the car having a top speed of 300 km/h.
Otherwise, the Evora 400 is based on a redesigned version of the aluminum chassis of the simple Evora,while it features new settings for the suspension and the limited slip differential.
Production of the Lotus Evora 400 will begin this summer and the first deliveries in Europe will be in August. The Evora 400 will be available in the US which by the autumn of this year, sold as a MY2016 model.
