The new M5 will be four-wheel drive, BMW has equipped the new M5 with the M xDrive system, a technology that allows it to be converted from four-wheel drive to rear-wheel drive, depending on the preferences of the driver, with the touch of a button. By default, the program sends the power on both axes, with more torque being sent to the rear wheels.

On the M Dynamic – 4WD Sport mode, the percentage of torque sent to the rear axle is increased and when the driver turns off the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system, he can choose between 4WD, 4WD Sport and 2WD.

BMW announced that under the hood of the new M5 we will find a 4.4-liter V8 bi-turbo engine that will produce more than 600 hp with 700 Nm of torque and it will enable the car to have an 0-100 km/h acceleration of 3.5 seconds. The engine will be combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
