Kawasaki revealed the Ninja ZX-10R for 2016. The new Kawasaki superbike is not totally new, but it is based on the existing generation. Kawasaki’s aim is to continue starring in the future at the Superbike World Championships, presenting competitive motorcycles in a category that has been hard to compete for many years.

The engine of the bike has a new cylinder head and a new crank, which is significantly lighter than that of the current model, in order to reduce the inertia of moving parts. According to reliable sources, the engine produces 210 hp at 13,000 rpm and 114 Nm of torque at 11,500 rpm. The full weight of the motorcycle is at 206 kg with the ABS.

The wheelbase stands at 1,440 mm, while the seat height at 835 mm. The suspension comes from Showa and it has been developed in collaboration with the Kawasaki racing team. The fully adjustable fork was presented last year at EICMA and it makes for the first time its appearance in a production motorcycle.

The new Ninja ZX-10R is equipped with a traction control, a launch control, ABS, quickshifter and an engine brake control system. It also has an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which in takes measurements on five different axes. There is also a sixth measurement that is carried out through a program that has been developed by Kawasaki.
