Kawasaki Indonesia yesterday officially unveiled its new Z250SL. For the time, it will only be produced for Asian markets. The bike can be characterized as beautiful and aggressive.
After the classic twin Ninja 250 and also the new single-cylinder Ninja 250SL, 250 cc models of Kawasaki acquired a new “friend” named Z250SL, (Super Lightweight). This is the naked version of the single-cylinder Ninja 250SL, with a four-stroke engine of 250 cc, water cooling producing 28 hp @ 9,700 rpm.
The feature that makes the SL stand out at first glance is the steel frame, which gives a really distinctive look to the motorcycle. In the area of the front suspension we find a non adjustable conventional 37 mm fork. While at the back, the bike is wearing as usual, s monoshock Uni-Track, with a preload adjustable in 5 positions. The SL is also equipped with a 263 mm disk brake at the front and a 193 mm at the back.
In Asia ( first in Indonesia, then in the Philippines and Malaysia) the Z250SL will be produced in two versions (the manufacturing plant is located in Indonesia), with or without ABS. The weight of the motorcycle is 148kg. The three colors available are, green, black or orange, while the first Z250SL are expected to be delivered to their owners at the end of May.
