Normally, we should start writing this article saying that the TwinTrax seems to come from the Mad Max movie. But this bike is much tougher than any Mad Max vehicles.
This is a creation of the German Motorcycle Authority, a German company owned by Cristoph Madaus, creating gorgeous custom models. Their latest creation is the TwinTrax, a monstrous model that took more than 12 years of manufacturing!
The TwinTrax is not easily categorized. It has a wheelbase of 2,060 mm. and a low saddle height, however, we can classify it as a dragster. Moreover it weighs just 400 kilos … ! However, the weight does not lower the bike’s performance, thanks to the fact that it has two engines! These are two v-twin engines of 1.340 liters of the Harley-Davidson/S & S Evolution, which means that the total capacity reaches 2,680 liters therefore the horsepower is calculated in double,80 HP each engine per two engines gives us a total of 160 hp.
The bike features a steel frame, that ensures the stability of the motorcycle. It also features WP suspensions( inverted fork in front and two rear shock absorbers) and three disc brakes with six-piston calipers on every disk. The wheels finally wear Metzeler tires measuring 130/70-18 front and 200/70-15 rear. Beyond these specifications, nothing else was made known, for example the top speed or price.
