Mercedes-Benz has revealed the interior of the new C-Class which will be officially unveiled at the Detroit show in January 2014.

The design of the interior follows the recent design philosophy of the German car company. Prominent is the sharp COMAND external display , available in 7 ” and 8.4 ” , with the latter accompanied by a touch pad and head-up display. The air vents are cyclic with the air conditioning system to use data from the GPS, so that the flap automatically closes the recycling when the car enters a tunnel , not to fumes into the cabin . Also the passenger seat has a sensor that turns off the air bag,  when a baby car seat clicks on it. It also has a three-spoke steering wheel , analog clock, new instrument panel and wood paneling .

Mercedes-Benz says the new C-Class will weigh less than any other model in its class. Independent of the engine, it will weigh 100 kilos less than its predecessor and it will use 20 % less fuel , producing the same horsepower.

Furthermore, depending on the engine, Mercedes-Benz will offer the Airmatic air suspension which besides having 4 settings Comfort, ECO, Sport and Sport Plus, automatically increases or decreases the it’s length in order to reduce fuel consumption and improve the aerodynamics of the car .
