The CEO of McLaren, Mike Flewitt, has announced that the hybrid technology of the P1 would soon pass to smaller models and now Mark Vinnels, executive director of the development department of the British company, said that the 650S, is very likely to get a hybrid version.
McLaren has to take this step, to have a lower average of CO2 emissions and to increase the performance and handling of the model. Despite the fact that a hybrid system will increase the weight of the 650S, McLaren believes, that they will be able to keep the weight of the super car at low levels by using carbon.
