In March of 2015, Dodge stopped accepting orders for the Challenger SRT Hellcat and the Charger SRT Hellcat. At the end of the same month, they announced that they will build 1.000 extra Hellcats, that were sold extremely fast.
The head of Dodge and SRT, Tim Kuniskus, said that the company will increase the production of the Hellcat V8 for 2016. Kuniskis did not say exactly how many engines will be built, but they will probably a few thousand.
