The Chevrolet Corvette MY2016 is lighter that the current one, because of the use of a new plastic material which makes the overall weight of the car drop by 9 kg in the coupe version. The new material according to GM, is considerably lighter and much less expensive than aluminum, with 21 parts of the body of the car being now made of it.
