The M4 GTS is equipped with a 3 liter, six-cylinder in-line turbocharged engine, which thanks to a water spray system, it delivers 500 hp and 600 Nm of torque. This means that the M4 GTS can accelerate to 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.8 seconds, with its top speed reaching 305 km/h. It is also worth mentioning that according to BMW, the fuel consumption and emissions are at the same levels as the M4 Coupe, despite the increase in horsepower. The engine is combined with the classic, 7-speed M DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Particular emphasis was given to the weight of the car, that now reaches 1,510 kilos. The interior of the car features new carbon fiber bucket seats, a lighter center console and special doors. The car has also a new hood design, an adjustable front splitter, an also adjustable rear spoiler and a diffuser, made of carbon fiber.

It stands on new 19 inch wheels at the front and 20 inch at the rear, with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, while it also has titanium exhaust tailpipes. The suspension of the model consists of adjustable coilovers and its brakes are carbon-ceramic.

Finally, the M4 GTS is the first model equipped with OLED rear lights and LED front lights. BMW will build just 700 M4 GTS, while the car will also be available with the “Clubsport Package” which “enhances the M4 GTS for the track”.
