Recently Volvo bought Polestar and now the Swedish company announced their official engagement in motorsport, which will be done with the Polestar Cyan Racing team, that will participate in the WTCC with two Volvo S60 Polestar. The announcement coincides with the anniversary of 30 years since the win of Volvo in the European Touring Car Championship in 1985, with the Volvo 240 Turbo.
The Volvo S60 Polestar TC1 will be equipped with a four-cylinder engine producing 400 hp. The driver of the car will be Christian Dahl, while the group will also include Fredrik Ekblom, and Robert Dahlgren.
