According to rumors the entry-level version of the new Audi R8 will feature a five cylinder 2.5 liter TFSI turbo engine. This is the engine that is equipped on the RS3, but the one that will be used on the R8 will acquire an e-turbo, so that it can produce 400 to 500 hp.
Other rumors say that the car might get a 3 liter TFSI V6 engine, but the company will probably choose the 2.5 liter TFSI with the e-turbo to maintain fuel consumption as low as possible.
