Atieva is a new start-up that is based in California and it is funded by the Beijing Electric Vehicle Company (BEVC), one of the largest automakers in China. BEVC belongs to the Beijing Automotive Industry Corporation (BAIC), that will soon become the largest shareholder of Atieva and in addition to providing funding, BAIC will determine the future success of the start-up, thanks to its expertise in electric vehicles.
Atieva will present electric models that are relevant to consumers around the world, with their first concept to make its debut at the Beijing auto show in April of 2016. In addition to its cooperation with BAIC, Atieva will cooperate with Siemens, CECOMP and the Korean company SK Group batteries.
