BMW presented the M4 GTS Concept, a preview of a model “for use on the road and on the track”. The car features the water spray engine cooling system, which until now was the exclusive to the MotoGP Safety Car. This system injects water to the plenums of the engine’s air intake and the water being evaporated, lowers the temperature of the air. Thus, the turbocharged engine may use higher boost pressure, which means higher performance.

BMW did not stop on the water spray system for lowering temperatures, but they equipped the M4 GTS Concept with an innovative cooling system, that consists of many refrigerating units.

The Concept M4 GTS is also equipped with a huge, adjustable front splitter and also a large and adjustable rear spoiler. The hood of the prototype is made of CFRP (carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic) reducing the weight and center of gravity, while the car stands on 19 inch forged alloy wheels on the front axle and 20 on the rear, with Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires. Finally, the M4 GTS Concept features innovative OLED rear lights.
