Ford presented its new patrol car, which is called Police Interceptor Utility and is basically a revamped Explorer for the police of US and Canada.

It features new bumpers, new lights, new dashboard, and the Surveillance Mode technology that warns the driver whenever someone approaches the car, locking the doors and bringing up the windows.
It is available with a 3,7 liter V6 engine producing 304 hp with 378 Nm of torque and a 3,5 liter V6 EcoBoost producing 365 hp with 474 Nm of torque. Both engines are combined with a six-speed automatic gearbox, which sends the power to all four wheels. The gearbox features a chase mode, which makes the speed changes faster and understands when the chase has ended, returning to normal mode to save fuel.
