Ford presented the Shelby GT350 Mustang, which is describes as an everyday track-day car. The Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang chassis has more strength and is partly made of carbon, it has a lower and tougher MagneRide suspension, that adjusts automatically depending on road conditions and the driver’s requirements, providing better drivability.
The GT350 features 19 inch rims, with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. The brakes consist of perforated discs of diameter 394 mm front and 380 mm rear with Brembo six-piston front calipers and four piston ones at the back.
The car is equipped with atmospheric 5,2 liter V8 engine that produces more than 500 hp and 540 Nm of torque, combined with a six-speed manual gearbox. There is also a Torsen limited-slip differential, with the oil cooler and the transmission cooler to be available in the Track Pack package.
The Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang wears a new body kit, consisting of new bumpers, side skirts, spoiler, front splitter, air vents, inflated aluminum front fenders and diffuser. The interior features Recaro seats, while the driver can choose five different function modes, with the system to be able to change the settings in the traction control, the ESP, steering, mapping of the throttle to regulate the MagneRide suspension and exhaust settings. The car will be officially unveiled tomorrow, at the Los Angeles auto show.
