Jaguar has announced that they will enter in Formula E. The aim of the British company is to obtain know-how to build electric motors and batteries, for their production cars. The head engineer of Jaguar Land Rover, Nick Rogers, stresses the importance of participation in an electric championship, as this will help in the development of electric systems, that will be tested in the most extreme conditions.

The company will work with Williams Advanced Engineering, which provides Formula E with batteries. Their entry will be done in the new season, which will start probably in September of 2016.
