Scion presented the iM, which is the production version of the iM concept, and it is essential a re-branded American version of the Toyota Auris.
The interior features a Pioneer audio system with six speakers, a 7 inch touch screen, a leather steering wheel ,while the instrument panel is a display of 4.2 inches.
The standard equipment includes eight airbags, dual zone air conditioning, electric heated mirrors and automatic activation of lights. The car stands on 17 inch wheels with 225/45 tires, while the rear suspension consists of double wishbones.
The car is equipped with a four-cylinder 1.8 liter DOHC Valvematic petrol engine producing 137 hp, combined with a 6-speed manual transmission. Optionally Scion offers a 7-speed CVTi-S transmission, which offer driving enjoyment according to the company.
Scion announced that deliveries of the car will start from next autumn, with the starting price to be below $20,000.
