Andreas Preuninger, the man who leads the high-performance car division of Porsche, said that the next generations of the RS models of the company will focus on weight reduction, rather than increased horsepower.

Preuninger said he is not a fan of “the monster of horsepower”, he added that 500 hp would be enough, and a horsepower of around 700-800 hp would require bigger brakes and more powerful suspensions, things that add extra weight. He also revealed that the next 911 GT3 will be equipped with a naturally aspirated engine which will be available with a PDK automatic transmission and a manual transmission.
