Mercedes-Benz is showcasing at their stand in Frankfurt the renewed Mercedes-Benz A-Class and the A45 AMG that apart from stylistic changes, benefit also from a power increase.

The car has a different grille, redesigned lights and LED lights which are optional in the A-Class and standard on the A45 AMG. The interior has been changed slightly to approach the design of the CLA while the infotainment system, now supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other changes include galvanized switches, an optional 8 inch screen, the slightly redesigned instrument panel and new colors and materials.

The basic A160 will be  equipped with a 1.6 liter petrol engine that delivers 102 hp and 180 Nm of torque, while the basic diesel version A180d BlueEFFICIENCY, is driven by an 1.5 liter diesel that delivers 109 hp and 260 Nm of torque. The A220d, is equipped with a 2.1 liter engine that  delivers 177 hp, while the A250 Sport 4MATIC produces 218 hp.

The A45 AMG is equipped with a 2 liter, turbocharged engine of AMG, that delivers 381 hp and 475 Nm of torque, combined with a 7-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission, that enables it reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 4.2 seconds. There is also the A45 AMG S version, which yields about 400 hp, but it will be presented later.
