Chevrolet introduced the Corvette Stingray Convertible at Geneva. The production will begin in August with the first cars arriving in dealerships in late 2013 as 2014 models. The electric folding roof opens and closes even when the car is traveling at 50 km/h and it also has a remote control to open and clsoe.
Compared with the Corvette Stingray that was presented in Detroit, the convertible is equipped with different wheels, but mechanically there are no changes. The V8 6,2 liter naturally aspirated engine generates 450 hp with 609 Nm of torque, with the 0-100 km/h being completed in less than 4 seconds.
The first open Corvette Stingray will be auctioned during the Barrett-Jackson auction atĀ Palm Beach on April 4, with all the money going to an institute for the fight against cancer.
