It’s time for full disclosure of the brand new Renault Captur which will make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show this March.

The new Captur is essentially the French version of the Nissan Juke, which naturally also shared the same platform and architecture, which certainly come across the brand new Renault Clio Mk4. With a length of 4.120 mm, the Captur is only 5 mm shorter than the Juke. According to Renault, the Captur combines “the style of an expensive vehicle, the driving of an SUV with the cabin space and the possibilities of an MPV, and the versatility and driving pleasure offered by a compact hatchback». Although the name is the same as the 3-door Captur Concept from 2011, regarding the design, we can say that the Renault Captur is more like the new Renault Clio.


The new Captur will offer many customization options according to the preferences of the owner, such as a two colored body whereby the color of the roof and that of the side columns will be different from the rest of the body, also there will be offered many options for the interior. According to the company, there will be many configuration options for the interior of the car and innovative storage solutions, while the boot will be large. The standard equipment of the car will include among others keyless entry system, hill start assist system and rear parking sensors.

The new Captur will be available with a wide range of petrol and diesel engines which will be the best in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emmisions(96 gr / km). It will be available in four-wheel drive and 2 wheel drive versions.It will probably be equiped with the V3 900 cc turbo engine from Renault clio that delivers 89 hp, and the 1.5 liter turbodiesel which will emit 96 gr / km of CO2 emmisions. The Captur will be manufactured at the Renault factory in Spain (Valladolid).
