In June 2012, Dirk Regter and his wife Trudy, started from Hague with a 1915 Ford Model T to go around the world. Their journey started in Hague and after almost 2.5 years and having traveled 85,000 km, they returned home.
Overall, the couple visited 50 cities in the world, traveling to every continent, except Antarctica. The aim of the trip was to raise money to enhance Children’s Villages SOS, with Regter having already funded the construction of two schools in Mongolia, through sponsorships.
