Audi has started production of their cars on their new plant in the city of Curitiba, Brazil. Initially they will produce there, the A3 Sedan with the 1.4 liter TFSI Flex engine, which can consume either gasoline or ethanol, or both together.

The Brazilian market is the largest in terms of flex-fuel engine sales, with 90% of cars sold in the country to be with flex-fuel engines. In the coming months, Audi will start the construction of the Q3 as well, in this factory.
