The CEO of Audi, Rupert Stadler confirmed that the Q6 will be released in 2018. The German electric SUV that will be placed against many electric SUVs, will borrow technology from the R8 e-tron, with its engine having a range of around 500 km.

The Q6 will be based on the MLB platform of the VW Group and it will initially be available in two versions, one with 300 hp and 450 Nm of torque and one with 400 hp and 650 Nm of torque, while later an RS version, will be added, producing close to 500 hp and 750 Nm of torque.
