Audi revealed its LMP1 racing car which will compete on the World Endurance Championship in 2016 and on the 24 hours of Le Mans.
The car has a different front part, while its energy storage flywheel system has been replaced with a more conventional battery system. It will probably be equipped with a 4 liter V6 TDI, but at the moment there is not official info on its engine. Audi announced that the racing crews with number 7 and 8 will remain unchanged, which means that the 2016 R18 will be driven by: Marcel Fassler, Andre Lotterer, Benoit Treluyer and Lucas di Grassi, Loic Duval and Oliver Jarvis.
