BMW will add the 318d and the 320d to the 3-Series GT range, which will be available by next summer. Both versions use the same two-liter, four-cylinder turbo diesel engine, with the 318d delivering 150 hp with 320 Nm of torque, while the 320d delivers 184 hp with 380 Nm of torque.

According to BMW, the 318d accelerates to 100 km/h from a standstill in 9.3 seconds with the manual transmission and in 9.2 seconds with the automatic and it consumes just 4.5 liters per 100 km when fitted with manual transmission and 4.3 when it is equipped with the automatic. The 320d on the other hand, does the 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds, while its average average fuel consumption is 4.6 liters per 100 kilometers.
