The Marciano 268A began as a project for a design competition. The tubular chassis of the car was a design of Vicenzo Marciano, but the rear suspension, originated from a Jaguar E-Type and the windscreen, from a Ferrari 250 LM.

The car was equipped with a 2.6 liter V8 engine producing about 230 hp. Thanks to its extremely low weight of 810 kg, the car could do the 0-100 km/h from a standstill in six seconds and had a top speed of 240 km/h.
The engine was positioned in the front of the vehicle. Unfortunately, Marciano did not live to finish the car for the competition, so the project was abandoned. The car was completed in the 70s and it is one of the most beautiful one-off cars until today.
