Chevrolet presented the Chevrolet Cruze facelift, that we will see in the New York auto show. The American compact sedan proved particularly successful, in fact it is one of the best-selling cars of the brand as it has sold over 2.5 million cars.
Chevrolet restricted the changes in the styling sector and enriched the car with new technologies. The similarities of the front part to that of the Malibu are evident, having more corners as they adopt a new bumper, a ” two-tier ” grille, LED daytime running lights, redesigned rear lights, and more available colors.
At the interior the biggest change is the infotainment system and a 7 inch screen that completely changes the feel of the cabin. The system can read text messages to the driver via a Bluetooth connection and users of the iPhone software iOS 6 and 7 take advantage of the features of Siri. It even provides an 4G LTE connection from OnStar, which allows the car to operate as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
The engines to be installed in the Cruze were not announced, but it is almost certain that they will consist of a 1.8 liter four-cylinder with 138 hp and 169 Nm, a turbo 1.4 liter also with 138 hp and 200 Nm of torque and a 2 liter turbodiesel with 151 hp and 357 Nm of torque. The revamped Chevrolet Cruze will be released in the next spring.
