Rolls-Royce announced that the first Dawn that will be made available in North America will be auctioned with all proceeds going to the foundation Naples Children & Education Foundation. The auction will take place in late January on the sidelines of Winter Wine Festival in Naples, Florida, with the first Dawn of North America to be painted in white, having red accents and a red fabric roof, while its interior will have wooden decorations and a white leather upholstery.
The car was presented last September at the Frankfurt auto show, its soft top roof opens and closes within 20 seconds at speeds up to 50 km/h. It weighs 2,560 kilos and it is equipped with a 6.6 liter V12 biturbo engine producing 570 hp at 5,250 rpm with 780 Nm of torque at 1,500 rpm, that enable it to do the 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, with its top speed being electronically limited at 250 km/h.
