Ford will present at this year’s Le Mans on June 13, the racing version of the GT. The car is designed with the help of Multimac and it has been also tested at the Calabogie Motorsports Park in Ontario, Canada.
The car will be equipped with a Roush Yates EcoBoost 3.5 liter V6 engine, combined with a Ricardo gearbox. It will begin to participate in races from 2016, with its debut to be in the Daytona 24-hour endurance race on January 30, 2016 in the highly competitive , GTE category.
