The new TT graces the Audi booth in Geneva. The third generation of the German sports car does not differ significantly from the current generation, while having elements from the first, as the fuel filler cap.

It features matrix LED lights at the front and LED lights at the rear, a new hexagonal chrome grille and large imports for air, thus creating a very aggressive look. The covers of the mirrors , diffuser and the fuel cap is painted at silver color, while at the back we observe 4 large exhaust tailpipes at the TT-S version and dual tailpipes on the simple version. The optional S-Line package features a more aggressive designd bodykit, more pronounced grille, sills, diffuser, 18 inch wheels and lower ground clearance by 10 mm. The Audi logo is transferred onto the bonnet and the roof has a sharper angled design.

It has a length of 4.18 meters, 20 mm lower than its predecessor, but the wheelbase has increased by 37 mm (2.505 mm), it is 1.832 mm wide and it has the same height as the second generation, 1.353 mm. It features an electronically controlled spoiler, which extends when the car travels at speeds above 120 km/h , thus improving the vertical wind generated power.
The new TT is based on the MQB platform of the Group. The chassis weighs 17% less compared to the Audi Space Frame (ASF) of the second generation. It is made of steel and aluminum, with the doors, hood and trunk also made from lightweight metal. It features a more rigid chassis and overall the new TT is 50 kilos lighter than the previous generation, since the 2.0 liter TFSI weighs 1,230 kilos. It has 305 liters of luggage space, 13 more than the second generation which can even get bigger by folding the rear seats.

At the interior Audi shows its new design philosophy, by placing a fully digital dashboard in the production model. This dashboard displays all the information the driver needs, which means you do not need central display on the dashboard. This option gave the designers of Audi freedom for a simple dashboard with clean lines.
The interior of the new TT has been designed from scratch with the top of it looking like an airplane wing. The car can carry 2 +2 people and has five ROUND airways, with the three center ones having built-in buttons for air conditioning.
The dashboard consists of a 3D TFT 12,3 inch screen which has a Nvidia Tegra 30 processor and has two modes. In the classical view, the speedometer and tachometer are in the foreground, while at the «infotainment» mode, the instruments are smaller, with the space created to offer plenty of display space for functions such as the navigation map.
All elements of the interior of the new TT are focused and designed for the driver. The new three-spoke multifunction steering wheel is made of aluminum , the MMI system has a circular dial with a touchpad that supports gestures. The S sports seats are new with integrated head restraints and pneumatically adjustable side bolsters. The airbag of steering wheel occupies 40 % less space and the additional equipment features 12 speakers and a Bang & Olufsen 14- channel amplifier.

The new TT is equipped with a new information and entertainment system, called Audi MMI Infotainment featuring a redesigned menu , better search functionality and improved voice control. Audi has also improved the handling of the rotary selector, with the touch surface being able to support gestures, offering experience comparable to that of smart mobile screens.

The new Audi TT is equipped with two TFSI engines and one TDI, all combined with Start/Stop system as a standard. The 2.0 TFSI produces 230 hp with 370 Nm of torque and the top version TT-S Produces 310 hp with 380 Nm of torque. There is also a two-liter TDI producing 184 hp with 380 Nm of torque.
The version with 230 horses, can be combined with a six speed manual gearbox or with a 6 speed S-Tronic gearbox, with the 0-100 km/h coming in the first case in 6 seconds and in the second case in 5,3 seconds with the top speed electronically limited in both cases at 250 km/h. The average consumption is of 6.8 l/100 km and the emmisions are 159 g/km of CO2.

The 2.0 TDI does the 0-100 km/h in 7.2 seconds and has a top speed of 235 km/h. It consumes 4.2 l/100 km and emits 110 g/km of CO2.The TT-S edition does the 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds with the S-Tronic gearbox, with the top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h.
The car features McPherson front suspension and multiple ( four ) back links, it stands on wheels measuring 17 inches to 20 inches, it brakes with disc brakes on all four wheels , with the front being ventilated, the TT-S version’s discs have a 338 mm diameter.
