Goodyear, is reportedly planning to invest $550 million to build a new tire plant in central Mexico. The plant will be operational in 2017, with the company to employ 1,000 people and the factory having a capacity of six million tires annually.
Companies build factories in Mexico, because of the low production costs. In Mexico, the cost of logistics is considerably cheaper than the US, while the national currency of Mexico, the peso, allows companies to avoid fluctuations in the exchange rates with the US dollar.
