Infiniti gave more details for the Q30. The car is based on the MFA platform of Mercedes-Benz and it shares many elements with the A-Class, CLA and GLA. Its suspension consists of classic McPherson struts on the front axle and a multi-link layout in the rear.

The Q30 will be available with a range of petrol and diesel engines. The first one will be a 1.6 liter turbo producing 120 and 154 hp in different versions. The diesel engines include a 1.5 liter with 107 hp and a 2.2 liter producing 168 hp. Additionally, there is a 2 liter petrol engine that delivers 208 hp, but it is only available for the Premium and Sport versions. The engines will be available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or optionally with a 7-speed automatic, dual clutch.
The Premium version has LED fog lights, mirrors in the body color, two trapezoidal chrome exhaust tailpipes and 18 inch alloy wheels. The Sport version on the other hand, is slightly lower, with a height of 1,475 mm versus 1,495 mm of the Premium and it has slightly different front and rear bumpers, a black grille, tailpipes in black chrome and 19 inch alloy wheels. The Infiniti Q30 will be available in selected markets later in 2015.
