AvtoVAZ announced that they have started the production of the Lada Vesta. The Russian automaker plans to build about 5.000 Vesta until the end of the year with each of them, costing between 465,000 and 600,000 rubles.
The Vesta is constructed on a brand new platform developed by Lada in collaboration with Renault-Nissan. Its length is 4.41 meters, its height is 1.49 meters, while its wheelbase reaches 2.63 meters.
It is equipped with a 1.6 liter atmospheric petrol engine that delivers 106 hp, combined with a 5-speed manual transmission. Later it will be available with an automatic transmission and an engine producing 87 hp.
