Mazda presented the new Mazda CX-9, at the Los Angeles auto show. The CX-9 has the Kodo design language of the company and it features a distinctive grille combined with thin lights and small overhangs, that give it a dynamic character.
The interior features a configuration of 2 + 3 + 2 seats, with the long wheelbase offering sufficient space for all the passengers. The design of the center console is inspired by other models in the range of Mazda, while the cabin has also Nappa leather, rosewood and aluminum decorations.
It will be available with a gasoline 2.5 liter turbo engine producing 250 hp with 420 Nm of torque, available from 2,000 rpm, combined with a 6-speed automatic transmission that sends the power to all four wheels. The car is based on the same platform as the CX-5 and Mazda6, it stands on 18 inch wheels, with 20 inch wheels being available at the optional equipment. Mazda has announced that the CX-9 will not be sold in Europe.
