McLaren presented the 625C. The model is the first one that will be sold only for a specific market, as it is addressed exclusively to Asian countries.
As its name suggests, the V8 3.8 liter twin-turbo engine delivers 625 hp @ 7,250 rpm and 610 Nm from 3,000 to 7,000 rpm. It is available in both coupe and Spider version, the first needs 3.1 seconds for the 0-100 km/h (+0.1 Sec. in comparison to the 650S), while the 0-200 km/h comes in 8.8 sec. , with a top speed reaching 333 km/h. On the other hand, the 625C Spider takes the same time for the 0-100 km/h, while for the 0-200 km/h comes in 9 sec.having a top speed of 329 km/h.
There are small changed on the mechanical balance of the car, along with new shock absorbers, McLaren describes the car as the most comfortable and balanced model they have built, because of the less rigid rear springs.
Initially, the McLaren 625C Coupe and Spider will be available in Hong Kong, with the rest of the Asia/Pacific region to follow in the coming months.
