Mitsubishi presented the Xpander, which is a small crossover with MPV features. It will be released in the Indonesian market by autumn of 2017, with its production made in the same country, in the new plant of MMC,in Bekasi, province of West Java.
The car is the production version of the XM Concept Crossover SUV and it features dynamic characteristics and a muscular design. It also has thin lights and a high ground clearance.
According to the company it combines the outstanding comfort and flexibility of an MPV with the performance, durability and ruggedness of an SUV, with its bodywork to be wider and larger than a car of the MPV class.
Its interior offers the best-in-class roominess for up to seven passengers. It has a digital instrument panel with an infotainment system that provides internet connectivity. The spaces for small items are plentiful, with the company to indicate that it features 16 cup holders.
It will be equipped with a 1.5-liter atmospheric engine, producing 105 hp, available with either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic and all wheel drive system.
Its price in Indonesia will start from 189,050,000 rupiah (about $14,200), while it will be released in other markets from next year.
