The Chief operating officer of Ford Europe, Barb Samardzich, revealed some additional information on the highly anticipated Focus RS.

I can not confirm anything today but let’s say that there is strong demand .
Ford keeps well hidden the papers regarding the top version of the hatchback but until now information, refers to an Ecoboost 2.3 liter four-cylinder engine with 330-350 hp. The power will be transferred to the front wheels by means of an electronic differential and to reduce the phenomenon of torque-steer, a Revoknuckle front suspension will be used.
If all goes according to plan, the Focus RS will make its market launch in 2016 with a value hardly exceeding €35.000. The late presentation of the model will make the RS version, the latest and most powerful version of the current Focus, because at 2016-2017 we expect the launch of the new generation.
