Hyundai has released new information and photos of the 2016 Sonata Hybrid, whose sales start next summer in the US.

The car is equipped with a 2 liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 154 hp with 190 Nm of torque which is combined to a 6-speed automatic transmission that features an electric motor of 51 hp and 205 Nm of torque. The combined power of the hybrid system is 193 hp at 6,000 rpm.
According to Hyundai, the 2016 Sonata Hybrid consumes 5.9 liters of fuel per 100 km, while the battery of the car has a capacity of 1.62 kWh and it is positioned beneath the luggage compartment.
Finally, the 2016 Sonata Hybrid differs from the rest of the range thanks to new alloy wheels that are unique for this version, the special front and rear, to improve the aerodynamics, new bumpers and a bigger grille, while the interior features a 4.2 inch display that provides the driver and passengers with all the information of the hybrid system, that they may need.
