The Porsche 904 is a very beautiful mid-engined car, that has left its mark in the automotive world. It was the first Porsche model with a body of fiberglass and it was very lightweight. It was equipped with a 2-liter engine that produced about 180 hp and it was able to reach 100 km/h from a standstill in about 6 seconds with its top speed reaching close to 260km/h.
Just 106 copies of the car went into production in the years from 1964 to 1965, with the car also winning the Targa Florio. The #98 copy, that is pictured above, spent the first years of its life in the US and after it passed into the hands of a collector in Europe, who has now decided to sell it. The car will be auctioned on January 19th, by Bonhams
