Porsche 911 Turbo S manages to do the quarter-mile in 9.1 seconds

Ekanoo Racing managed to do the quarter-mile in 9.163 seconds, with their modified Porsche 911 Turbo S. The German supercar had an exit speed of 246 km/h (153 mph). Probably in a few months they will be able to do a time under 9 seconds.

Originally the Turbo S is equipped with a 3.8-liter turbo six-cylinder engine producing 560 hp with 700 Nm of torque, combined with a 7-speed PDK dual clutch automatic transmission, that sends the power to all the wheels. The Turbo S also features the overboost system that increases the torque to 750 Nm. The car can reach 100 km/h from a standstill in 3.1 seconds, with its top speed touching 318 km/h.
