Porsche presented the plug-in hybrid version of the Panamera that is equipped with a system that combines a new 2.9-liter V6 bi-turbo engine and an electric motor. Together the system produces 462 hp with 700 Nm of torque, it has an average fuel consumption of 2.5 liters/100 km and it emits 56 g/km of CO2 emissions. The autonomy of the car is 50 kilometers using only the electric motor, that has a maximum speed of 140 km/h.

The hybrid Panamera does the 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds, with its top speed reaching 278 km/h. The electric motor produces 136 hp with a torque of 400 Nm, while the petrol engine delivers 330 hp with 450 Nm of torque. The hybrid set is combined with an 8-speed dual-clutch PDK automatic gearbox, with the electric motor’s battery to be powered by a liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery of 14,1 kWh, which is located in the luggage compartment floor. The car can charge in 5.8 hours using a simple household outlet and in 3.6 hours using a quick charger of 7,2 kW.

The Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid offers the Sport Chrono package as standard with the driver being able to choose between six modes (Sport, Sport Plus, E-Power, Hybrid Auto, E-Hold and E-Charge). The official presentation of the car will take place at the Paris auto show. The hybrid Panamera is already available for ordering in Germany already, at a starting price of €100,600, with its deliveries to begin in mid April 2017.
