Radical RXC Turbo 500, to be presented at Geneva

Radical announced that they will present the RXC Turbo 500 at the Geneva Motor show. The RXC Turbo 500 has the same dimensions as the RXC 500, it uses a tubular chassis and carbon bodywork, the suspension consists of double wishbones front and with adjustable shock absorbers at the rear.The brakes are floating discs of 330mm front and 310mm rear with six-piston calipers.

The engine features two Garrett GT28 turbochargers, high-performance injectors and a new intake system. The car delivers more than 530 hp with 651 Nm torque and it weighs about 1,150 kilos. It is combined with a specially developed for the RXC Turbo 7-speed Quaife gearbox with paddles on the steering wheel, while the power is passed to the rear axle.

Radical did not announce other performance numbers, but it will definitely be faster than the RXC Turbo, which takes just 2.6 seconds for the 0-100km/h and has a top speed of 298 km/h. Finally, the company announced that it will try to break the record for production cars on the Nürburgring Nordschleife next August.
