Renault presented the Alaskan concept, a prototype pickup that will go on production in the first quarter of 2016 and will be sold worldwide.

The prototype is described as an off-road vehicle that is designed for business, for leisure and for everyday driving. It has LED lights, 21 inch rims and it is equipped with a four-cylinder twin-turbo diesel engine. Although Renault has not mentioned anything about the car’s platform in their press release, it is more than certain that it will be based on the Nissan Navara. The production version will keep many data from the original, having a maximum payload of 1 tonne.
