The new 7-series will be built on a brand new platform made of steel, aluminum and carbon making the basic version of the 740 car weighing much less than the 1,900 kilos of the current model, with rumors wanting the new 7-series weighing less than 1,670 kilos.

The new generation of the BMW 7 Series, will have a length of 5010 mm, width of 1815 mm, height of 1425 mm, and a long-wheelbase version will also be available. The new 7-series will be available with a series of 4 cylinder, 6-cylinder and V8 engines producing 260, 340 and 460 hp respectively. Rumors say that the BMW may abolish the 6.0-liter V12 engine in the next 760Li.

Also there will be the M770i ​​xDrive plug-in hybrid version that will be wearing a twin-turbo V8 4,0 liter engine producing 482 hp with 650 Nm of torque.
