The new Mazda MX-5 has already arrived in US and the first Launch Edition car went on auction on July 11 and it was sold for $50,000, with all the money given at the St. Jude Children’s Research hospital, which deals with the treatment of children that have diseases.
The MX-5 Launch Edition will go into production in just 1,000 units, all available on the US market and it will be based on the Grand Touring version, it will be painted in red, while its interior will feature Tan leather seats.
It will be equipped with a 2 liter SKYACTIV engine producing 155 hp with 200 Nm of torque and it will be available with either a manual or an automatic 6-speed gearbox.
