Akio Iwasaki, second in rank in engineering in the F Division of Lexus, confirmed that the 5-liter V8 in the RC F and the GS F will be the last of its kind.
We are developing a turbo engine to replace it.
Said Iwasaki, making clear that the characteristics of the new engine have not been finalized, but it will definitely be turbocharged. At this point, however, all options are open, the new engine could be a smaller V8 or a V6 and it could also be a twin-turbo.
