Toyota presented the 86 GRMN, a special version of the GT 86, which will pass in a limited production of 100 units and it will be sold exclusively in the Japanese market.
The production version of the Toyota GRMN 86 concept is equipped with a 2 liter naturally aspirated boxer engine producing 216 hp with 217 Nm of torque, combined with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The car is 45 kg lighter than the simple GT86 and it has a new aero body kit consisting of a front splitter, a vented carbon hood and a large rear spoiler.
It also features plexiglass windows, 17 inch rims, wider rear tires, a suspension with new settings and brakes consisting of vented discs with six-piston calipers in the front and four at the rear. The car will make its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
